Arunabh Kumar recently shared behind-the-scenes pictures with Ektaa Kapoor on the occasion of World Folklore Day and opened up about how the idea for The Vvaan originated. His post also offered insight into the film’s connection with India’s rich cultural and folklore traditions.

Sharing memories from the film’s inception, Arunabh Kumar spoke about his and Ektaa Kapoor’s shared interest in stories, temples and Indian culture.

He revealed that their journey included visits to places such as Siddhivinayak and Mukteshwar, as well as their experiences around Mahakumbh. According to Arunabh, these experiences made them realise the depth of India’s folklore traditions and their connection to both history and mythology.

He further revealed that when he narrated the folklore surrounding Vandevi Temple in Bihta to Ektaa Kapoor, she immediately felt that the story deserved to be presented on the big screen.

Arunabh credited Ektaa Kapoor and Balaji Motion Pictures for giving the story a large cinematic canvas and described them as an ideal creative partner for the project.
